Probate

When your loved one has passed away leaving behind property titled solely in the decedent’s name, you will likely need some form of probate proceeding. Probate is the process of transferring the Decedent’s property under the supervision of the court to the Decedent’s beneficiaries (under a valid will) or heirs at law (if the Decedent died without a will).
